Jubilant cheers and applause echoed throughout the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan time and again as The College of New Rochelle held its 109th Annual Commencement on May 24, 2016. From a rousing national anthem by Dominique Smith SAS’18, to words of wisdom and inspiration by the Commencement speaker Robin Roberts, to the sight of more than 900 graduates receiving their diplomas from President Judith Huntington, there was ample reason for all present to celebrate. Katy Baudendistel SAS’16 Excels in Academics and Leadership at CNR

A glimmer of tears shone in the eyes of Katy Baudendistel SAS’16 during a recent awards luncheon for graduating seniors. And no wonder. As she stood before applauding professors and peers to receive the Barbara F. School of Nursing Holds National Nurses Week Celebration and Pinning Ceremony

The School of Nursing at The College of New Rochelle marked the close of National Nurses Week on May 12, 2016, with a luncheon for students and faculty in Maura Ballroom. The event, which coincided with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, featured an exhibition on safe patient staffing legislation as well as Nightingale’s contributions to the field of nursing. CNR Honors Student-Athletes at Awards Banquet

The College of New Rochelle Division of Student Services, in conjunction with the Department of Athletics, hosted its annual Leadership and Athletic Banquet on May 10, 2016, at Beckwith Pointe. Student-athletes from all six Blue Angel sports teams, along with members of SGA, Residence Life, and over 20 clubs were honored at the event. READ MORE>

CNR Community Gathers for StrawFest 2016

Cold and rainy weather didn’t put a damper on the fun at The College of New Rochelle’s annual StrawFest celebration on Sunday, May 1, 2016. Usually held on Maura Lawn, this year’s festivities took place in the Wellness Center, where visitors from the College and local community enjoyed strawberry-themed food, games, vendors, music, and student performances.
